How to get the sharpest cutout

  1. Start from the original file. A photo sent through a messenger is already compressed; the one from your camera roll has more detail around hair and edges.
  2. Keep the subject in focus. The model draws soft edges where the photo is soft, so a blurry outline stays blurry.
  3. Pick PNG for editing, WebP for the web. Both keep transparency. JPG has no transparency and gets a white background.
  4. Touch up with Fix. Use a big brush to erase leftovers or restore a missing ear or fingertip, then download again.

Questions people ask

Is there a watermark on the free download?

No. There is no watermark on any download, and no “premium” version without one. What you see on the card is what you save.

What does HD mean here?

The result keeps your photo’s own resolution up to 4096 pixels on the long side. A 12-megapixel phone photo (4032 × 3024) comes back at full size, not as a small preview.

Why is my file smaller than the original?

A transparent PNG stores only the subject, and photos larger than 4096 px are scaled down to that size. Pick WebP for an even smaller file with the same transparency.

Do I need to sign up or give an email?

No. There is no account, no email and no credits. Open the page and drop a photo.

Is the quality the same as paid tools?

Edges come from an AI segmentation model and are soft where they should be: hair, fur, glass. For tricky spots, the Fix brush lets you erase leftovers or restore missing parts by hand.
